Apple wine bottled, blackberry decanted into another demijohn just for a few weeks to watch it suspiciously and see if any more sediment forms before I bottle that. It's looking like maybe it was just the first few attempts with the home made wine almost a year ago that might've gone crazy with the sediment, though, both the autumn ones are cleaner.
Need to start looking at what I make this year! Dandelion, nettle... those first... when does Elderflower come out? Need to check that. I have 3 demijohns but it's useful to have the one spare at any time, though I suppose I could always decant into a bowl, clean the demijohn, then return it to the same demijohn, if I used all 3...
I am content with the fact that this is something that's going to take a few years to get the hang of, and even then it might not go right every time. Unlike my dad who had a few disasters and then declared it not worth bothering.
I wanted to try things like cider and beer, but he is even more vocal about the horribleness of that. Then again, I don't have a lot of space, and I drink wine more, so better to stick to wine at least for a few years before expanding.
No-one but me will drink it at the moment. But I'm like, if I can make it myself, then sod the supermarket.
If only I could distill whiskey in my flat too. *sigh*
