I intend to try Sleepy Hollow and Blacklist as soon as I can get hold of an ep, but the only new show I've managed to watch so far is an episode of Agents of Shield, because it's already been on UK TV. I was really disappointed, and I can't get past this--
OMG, Coulson and the awesome lady of about ?40 aside, and I'm so terribly disappointed by the ages of the characters, compared with the cast of Avengers. I've reached saturation point on shows about teenagers, or people who don't look much more than 20 and talk like teenagers (although, Joss Whedon show). It's entirely meaningless to me what these pretty young thin things are running around doing, and I really do not give a shit. I suppose it doesn't help that the episode I saw was bad, but at the moment, yeah. I may end up watching more while I'm over at my parents' house anyway because they seem mildly entertained by it, and maybe it'll grow on me. But I long for a more mature cast and something other than all these bland, pretty kids.
Now I just sound old and bitter. :)
NaNoWriMo is at approx 10,500 words, YAY! I'm not only caught up, but in front. And AU Duke is now on the scene, and curiously enough, given the above meander of subject, is Tony Stark. Sort of. I still haven't written the beginning yet.
Comfortably Numb... Stopped fretting so much about this fic, although it's been out a few days and I've probably just worn down my anxiety on it. People seem to like it fine from kudos, but no comments kind of make me wonder if everyone reaches the end thinking some variation on "wtf wtf wtf omg what did I just read?" I guess it's a weird one? (And I may have written weirder, but that was in One Piece fandom, which is weirder to start with.) Sex scenes may get a rewrite after I've had a break to get some distance from it, 'cause I ain't happy with them. But it was already 8 days late, and I needed to start NaNo, so I had to post, really.
ETA: deleted some of this post, because it seems to be some weird bug in the archive that I was noticing. But still! There were 3 Haven fics in Spook Me! And considering the other highest archived on AO3 are 4 for big fandoms like Sherlock and BtVS... :D Yeah, I'm easily pleased.
