I made quiche, and now I have pack-up lunches for the rest of the week. Yay me.
Trying to write/edit/type something from the Haven pile but my focus sucks lately. I've three in-progress drafts (Sea Change IV, the steampunk thing, and a One Piece crossover, although only the first two are particularly progressing at the moment, and oh look I didn't even bother considering the novel or House Divided this time around) at least two partially untyped completed stories (Pinocchio #2, Fortress, thought there was another but brain is blank) and the usual backlog of unedited stuff. OMG my brain. Just freaking finish something, brain.
The only things I seem to have finished in months are the ones with deadlines.
Shortest journey to-edit-then-post would (still) be these:
Trigger - I took it away with me at the weekend to edit and now I'm mostly trying to decide how much I hate it. It's pre-canon Garland and Nathan gen investigating a serial male rape case that takes them out of town, and it's all about what that potentially means for Haven's troubled population based on canon speculation. Potentially this is the closest to being ready. But I am hating on it big-time right now. ~19k.
Shattered - Third and final installment of Unbreakable. It's 70k long and it's still on the first typed draft, but I kind of want this out there sharp-ish so I'm pushing it to the top of the queue.
27 Years Bad Luck - The Mirrorverse thing where a trouble generates evil!Duke and evil!Nathan, which may actually be within sight of being tidied up and polished off, I just desperately need to finish going through part 3 and get it to beta. ~36k.
Also: Pirate Trouble (Nuke) and Nexus (Nathan/Jess), but the first isn't getting posted until after Unbreakable is complete, and the second is permanently low-priority. I swear, nothing I've written has ever gone through as many redrafts as Pirate Trouble has.
I should focus on one of the two shorter ones. Get it out there. Clear some space to think.
