I love it to bits and I'm glad I finished it but I'm knackered.
3 days to chill and prepare for the retreat, which will be far more stressful than any retreat ever should be. (Yes, still organising the food, 3rd year running.)
I have 2 exchange fics to write this month as well... :(
I mean, right now I'm kind of thinking that I'd just love to slob around for a while, maybe write some more on the Duke/Nathan bodyguard AU where there are no Troubles but Duke is a new age guru living the high life off book and video sales and Nathan is an ex cop with a brain injury and damaged nervous system who his publisher makes him hire when he gets death threats. That was FUN!
Also I thought of a great fic idea with Jordan and Nathan trapped in a computer game where the whole push of the Trouble actually wants them to kill each other. Dwight and Duke on the outside.
Sea Change IV, wherein Duke and Nathan get caught up in an obsession Trouble and have a staggering amount of sex.
I started off strawberry wine yesterday. Yay! It's sat in a bowl in the kitchen now, fermenting. Though I kind of wonder if it would do better in a demijohn covered with a towel. It didn't seem to hurt the first stages of fermentation with the dandelion one, that one was going at it like blazes.
My dad, he actually managed to eat so many strawberries he didn't want them anymore. Like two weeks ago I was saying we had a ton of them and I wanted to make wine or give some away and he was: "NO! ALL MINE! I WILL EAT THEM!!" and the other day he didn't even want to pick any, so I spent about two hours scraping together everything edible left in the patch and ended up with just over 3 lbs, enough to make wine!
I would really, really like to hear back on House Divided, if anyone's read it. Maybe the ending comes out of left field? I thought the build up for it was all there from pretty early on. I don't really see how I could have ended it differently, though people may have expected something else.
I actually have another idea for a fic in this AU, set at some future point.
