So I am back from vacation and back at work tomorrow, but still recovering from vacation (not much relaxing was done, knee is pretty crappy from all the walking tbh) and recovering from the ghost hunt, and gonna collapse and watch Fury Road, and probably fall asleep in the middle of it. It was my dad's birthday today and I'm so tired I at this point.
Just a thought to get down about Clockwork because I'll forget later. The four parts are structured around the differing levels of information the 3 main characters have about the world and the changes to their memories/identities as they fluctuate through the story. So it starts in Part 1 with the truly AU versions of the characters where no-one including the reader knows who they really are, then switches back to the 'real' versions (if not bodies) in Part 2, except Audrey doesn't change because her problem is something different, so suddenly Duke and Nathan know what is going on. Then in Part 3, Audrey knows who they all are via second hand knowledge but Duke and Nathan have forgotten again, and have all sorts of problems as a result of the events in the real world, which their alternate identities now remember out of context. Part 4... well. Part 4 you will have to wait and see.
Also, this story ended up being a great deal about sexual repression and the denial of/right to a sexuality, in a weird way. I hadn't been going to venture into that territory, but the suggestion was put out to Go There with clockwork!Nathan... and you know I can't resist suggestions like that. So yeah. There will be clockwork smut.
