Nathan's short fuse is increasingly of fascination to me. I'm thinking back to Max Hansen and whether he did or didn't commit the murders he was sent down for (or indeed, other ones if not those) and ideas of what else Nathan inherited from Max other than his Trouble, or maybe other things ingrained during his unseen childhood, and wondering if this is ever going to be addressed on the show. It's also intriguing to me that Nathan is in some ways designated as the killer among the main cast - although Audrey shot Reverend Driscoll I can't think of anyone else, and we've never seen Duke actually kill anyone he didn't give off every vibe of really, really not wanting to kill. Now I am definitely due a rewatch and so the former might be a risky statement, but offhand this is certainly at least the third time Nathan's gunned someone down. The setup was there for him to do it - it's not like it came out of nowhere - but coupled with slamming a guy's face into a table before he was under any freaky influence last week, this is painting an intriguing picture.
We don't know a lot about Max and I wish we had more of the story there. Recent comments from Lucas Bryant make me wonder if we're going to get it. Hm...
Anyway, all of this is feeding into my NaNo novel and AU!Nathan's catalogue of issues very nicely. 41,500 words. Still working on the end of Nathan's section. Big action sequences OMG the headache, why do I do this to me? Looking forward to Duke's POV and a rest from having to think up so much detail.
