What's particularly fascinating to me about Troublesfest this time around, I think, is the stories which confront the idea of season 4 Nathan (or canon post-season 3 Nathan, as opposed to stories written during the hiatus before Fallout aired), and how many of those there are. IDK, I think I would say I have seen him previously approached in a h/c way, or an adversarial sort of way by shippers of other ships but not head-on, so much.
He has fared really well in this exchange, actually, considering that at times the general feeling seems to be that fandom hates him.
I am seriously burned out atm. I did write an extra, and I exhausted myself doing it. I haven't really even been able to think about writing anything for the last two days. It's taken me a while to read all the fics, and I think there's only one left now that I haven't finished. Definitely some interesting stuff in there. Seems a more unusual/varied mix compared to last year? IDK, I seem to think we had more ot3 and Duke/Nathan last year.
If Haven is not in Yuletide (are they still debating those ridiculous new requirements?) I wonder if anyone would like to go for a probably smaller scale holiday exchange in December? I have never run one of these, but I could try. We could have a smaller word limit, perhaps 500 words (although 1000 words never seems like a lot to me), or maybe include art and other media. Would anyone be interested? What would you be interested in?
