Apple wine, now.
That took way longer than I thought it would. I thought it would be easier, because bigger fruit, right? Easier to prepare. Not so much.
Waiting for it to cool down so I can add the yeast.
Also decanted the strawberry wine into another demijohn to leave behind the ick in the bottom of the old one and strain it again.
That was like 5 hours...
I don't even drink that much. I guess I will never be buying commercially made alcohol again. Heh. :) (Well, no. I think my mum will object to the loss of the bottle of Shiraz we usually share on Saturday evening.) Everyone gets fruit wine for Christmas??
These are home grown apples from the tree at the allotment, btw, we brought back 2 carrier bags full of small ones last Sunday. And the Dandelions were mostly from the allotment too, and the strawberries all were. I missed the chance on Nettles, but will get them next year before they flower. We've been freezing blackberries to do... something... in batches as they ripen... possibly wine with that, too. And I want to go try collect elderberries and/or sloes. I might have to buy another demijohn. I have 3. Two are free since the Dandelion got bottled, but I'll need one for the Apple now.
Thinking of trying to make Saki as a winter/spring project once the demijohns are emptied out because it apparently needs colder fermentation and there won't be anything else coming that I can do then.

I am thinking of vidding Duke Crocker to Echo and the Bunnymen's The Killing Moon...
Under blue moon I saw you//So soon you'll take me//Up in your arms//Too late to beg you or cancel it//Though I know it must be the killing time//Unwillingly mine...Fate//Up against your will//Through the thick and thin//He will wait until//You give yourself to him :D
There are a couple of other songs off that album that could fit Nathan and Nathan & Audrey. Maybe I should do a trilogy. Heh.
