Nathan encounters an old adversary in the Void. Audrey and Duke deal with a revenge plot. Dwight and Vince struggle to free Dave from Croatoan’s grip.
I am guessing that this is the episode where William returns. We know that Colin Ferguson was on set to direct 5x20, the previous ep.
I'll be pissed if William doesn't return -- that's one of the bigger hanging plot threads for me, addressing Mara's previous beloved and partner. Also, come on, show, throw me more potential for slash. :D
ALSO, TOTALLY CALLED THE NATHAN TRAVELLING THE VOID THING WITH CHARLOTTE AND NATHAN'S CONVERSATION ABOUT THE RINGS.
As for 5x16, fairly nonspoilery nutshell-- I'm still trying to make my mind up. They kind of both did the thing I wanted from this episode and then... stopped too soon. But what they did do was so much more than I'd ever hoped I'd get after seasons 4 and 5A, so I am... cautiously happy? Although I did not love the sentimentality wishy-washy nature of Nathan's dialogue. I am headcanoning a gap that was left out between his introduction and that part where he actually addressed the material points, at least in terms of the misinformation and intent.
