Haven ending with this autumn-winter's 13 new eps according to SyFy

The news itself is not unexpected. But they haven’t waited to see how 5b does to announce that this season will wrap up the show, which is... odd, as they had repeatedly said they would wait, and now we’re at the point where 5b is virtually about to air, and so the flip on that, that’s really weird.

It does talk about TV movie possibilities or Netflix though.

Interesting tweet from Brian Millikin remarking that any further Haven after season 5 would have been what they thought of as "the next stage/chapter". Because I've been theorising Audrey and Nathan journeying to other worlds or travelling to 27 years in the future in a new Barn at the end for a while...

How about we make it trend bigger?

This is going to be weird. I'm usually late to fandoms and everything's a done deal and it's been (usually) cancelled before its time by the time I get to it, or in the extremes its donkey's years old like B7. This one I joined right after the end of season 3, so I've had pretty much three full years of an active fandom. The only time my fandom experience was anything like that before was for Angel, and I was already kind of done with Angel by the time it ended, what with the characters I fell in love with repeatedly meeting sticky ends and do you know not one of the chars I'd liked throughout was still standing as the credits rolled? (Although I could've fallen hard for Illyria, but we hardly got enough time.)

I am psyched for this idea of a sort of "next stage" of Haven and if they managed to get that out on some network or format that would be really cool. Because yes I'm thinking new Barn Nathan and Audrey and maybe Duke fighting Troubles in the future, or void and other world adventures, and if there was some plan like that... oh, damn, that would be so good.

I don't think anyone was really expecting a straight SyFy renewal? I mean, there's the complication of the situation with filming in Nova Scotia anymore, on top of the weird season split. It's just that the timing is kind of weird in landing this announcement when the 5B (season 6, pretty much) episodes haven't even been broadcast.

I should imagine that this fandom will get at least a few more years ficcing out of me, no matter what, because I've still ideas from stuff that was introduced in season 4 that I'm not done with, let alone seaosn 5.

Also today I had to bribe myself with alcohol and pizza just to make me do the washing up and clean the kitchen and tidy the flat. It's sad when my brain can't handle Actual Living.

And this morning I did write a M/M Rares fic exchange fic! Yay!!!! No default! *falls down* It's in a new fandom I've never written before, so have fun guessing guys.
