Oh great. Freakin' internet provider's decided it's blocking Deviantart again. (It's the name, y'know.) It takes ages to kick back into not-blocking when it does this. Needless to say, I don't have any adult content locks in place.
The blocking is a fault, or it's reported as such. At least it's not blocking dreamwidth again...
my isp sucks a lot. I only get 3gb a month. But I'm kind of going with that because it means I literally can't spend all my time online. Also it's only 7.99 until about 9 months in and I don't have to pay line rental.
Wow, that's a lot different. ISPs are, I think, technically allowed to block websites here, but I've never once seen it happen. Most ISPs don't have caps-- a few have hidden ones, I think, once you get up to around 40 or 50 GB a month, but they just throttle your internet once you get up past that. I pay about $40/mo with tax. And I have no idea what line rental even means, lol.
A lot of providers in the UK you have to rent a telephone line from them in order to get the broadband internet on top of that. I don't want to pay 10-15 quid for something I won't use. There are probably options, though, which would have a better limit, if I decided to look. Which I might do sometime after it stops being half price! :)
